MMS only applies when Microsoft is the dial-in conferencing provider and does not support third-part dial-in conferencing providers. Along those lines, the service will also only apply to a meeting organizer hosted in Skype for Business Online, but it can be triggered when the user is migrated from on-premises Skype for Business Server to Online. Unfortunately the service does not work for Exchange on-premises mailboxes (with or without hybrid). In this post I’m going to cover the basic configuration as well as show an example of the service in action.įirst, MMS requires that the meeting organizer’s mailbox be hosted in Exchange Online. The release of MMS provides a great tool to Skype admins and end users as it takes away the burden of updating Skype meetings when something like a conference dial-in number changes. Previously this functionality was provided by a client side tool called the Meeting Migration Tool (and will continue to be used in certain scenarios). MMS will identify any future single and recurring meetings for a meeting organizer, replace the meeting information block with new conference information, and send out meeting updates to all recipients. MMS is a Skype for Business Online service that automatically updates Skype for Business meetings for users. I will close the question with this "solution" - thanks for taking your time to help me!Last November Microsoft released the Meeting Migration Service (MMS). So maybe there was a problem on the other site. The snooper log where it did not work, the second one was missing. value and the new one is an alphanumeric number with - In I checked the two snooper logs from my client and the only difference is that now there are two second identities in the NOTIFY from the Skype Infrastructure. When I know try to add the Skype contact to my contact list and accept the invitation it is working directly. I did not change anything, maybe a little issue in the Skype Consumer infrastructure or I did not wait long enough. I just started my client and noticed that my SfB Client is now able to communicate with the Skype contact. We configured the skype to SfB federation in the beginning and everything was working fine. Yeah, everything is configured the right way.

like this?įederation to other partners is working as expected and without any problems. In the past this worked fine for our organization so this is a bit stranged because changes were not made to our configuration.
Skype for business pending contact request Patch#
I have tried it with the SfB 2015 and SfB 2016 Client and with different patch versions -> The contacts are always listed as "pending". When I am using my Lync or SfB mobile Client, I have to initiate the IM session from SfB site before I can receive Skype Consumer messages, because the inititation of the IM session from Skype site is not working.
Skype for business pending contact request mac#
When I use a Lync 2013 Client, my SfB mobile Client, or the SfB MAC Client, I can see the presence and chat with the Skype consumer contact -> But on Skype consumer site my SfB account is still showing as offline. The really strange thing in this here is: On Skype site I can try to send IM messages but they will not reach my SfB Client. But I am not able to initiate a audio/video call from the Skype site. In this case I am not able to send IM messages from SfB to Skype because of the pending request, but I can initiate an audio/video call and accept it on the Skype site. I have tried this with different accounts on both sites and the problem was always the same. On the Skype consumer site, my SfB contact is added to the contact list and is showing as "offline". When I add a Skype user (consumer skype) to my contact list, the Skype user receives a contact invitation.Īfter accepting the invitation, my SfB Client still shows the contact still as "pending", even after a period of time. I currently encounter a strange behaviour and would like to ask if anyone of you is encoutering the same thing.
